Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and operator

By accessing or using nbfs.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. NBFS is an independent project made by Madman Studio.

2. What NBFS provides

NBFS collects public Shopify App Store listing facts and presents discovery, search, editorial briefs, community discussion, and multi-axis evaluations. Eligibility and ranking rules are described on the About page.

NBFS is not Shopify, is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify, and does not award or verify Built for Shopify status. A listing, badge, Daily Brief appearance, reaction, evaluation, or developer claim is not a certification, recommendation, warranty, or guarantee of an app.

3. Your app decisions

App listings, prices, features, availability, policies, and reviews can change. Information on NBFS may be incomplete, delayed, generated with AI assistance, or incorrect despite our correction and validation processes.

You are responsible for reviewing the official Shopify App Store listing, developer terms, requested permissions, privacy practices, compatibility, support, pricing, and suitability before installing, buying, or relying on an app. Transactions and app use occur with Shopify or the relevant developer, not NBFS.

4. Accounts and LinkedIn sign-in

Reading NBFS is public. Some contribution and claim features require LinkedIn OpenID Connect sign-in. You must provide accurate information, protect access to your LinkedIn account, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use.

LinkedIn connection does not prove a person's identity, employer, professional qualifications, Shopify usage, or ownership of an app. App ownership is separately checked through a time-limited link sent to the public support email collected from the official listing.

You may delete your account from the Profile page. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, respond to legal obligations, or prevent harm.

5. Contributions and conduct

You remain responsible for content you submit. You must not:

• Post unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, harassing, infringing, or privacy-invasive material.
• Misrepresent your experience, conflicts, affiliation, app ownership, or another person.
• Manipulate evaluations or reactions, coordinate inauthentic activity, spam, scrape accounts, or evade rate limits and security controls.
• Upload secrets, personal data you lack authority to share, malicious code, or content that violates another party's rights.
• Use NBFS to make automated decisions about a person's employment, credit, housing, insurance, or other high-impact eligibility.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant NBFS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and moderate that content only as needed to operate, secure, explain, and promote the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for cached, backup, legal, or previously shared copies that cannot reasonably be withdrawn immediately.

6. Moderation, corrections, and app claims

We may review, label, limit, reject, hide, or remove content or accounts that violate these terms, create risk, or reduce the integrity of the service. We are not required to publish every app, contribution, correction, or developer update.

Developers may request factual corrections, listing exclusion, or source review at ops@nbfs.app. A successful app claim shows control of the listing's public support email at the time of verification; it does not transfer listing ownership or guarantee the truth of later statements.

7. Ranking, sponsorship, and editorial independence

Payment does not change organic eligibility or default ordering. If NBFS introduces sponsorship, paid placement, affiliate relationships, or other commercial consideration, it will be separated from organic results and clearly labeled.

Community reactions, evaluations, and developer claims do not automatically determine editorial selection. We may change discovery methods and eligibility rules to improve coverage, safety, and usefulness.

8. Intellectual property and third-party rights

NBFS software, design, editorial structure, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service for its intended purpose but may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, disrupt, or create a misleading substitute using NBFS branding except where law permits.

Shopify, LinkedIn, listed app names, logos, screenshots, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Their appearance is for identification, commentary, and source attribution and does not imply endorsement.

9. Availability and changes

NBFS is under active development. We may add, remove, suspend, or change features, eligibility rules, providers, and content without guaranteeing continuous availability. We may discontinue the service and will provide reasonable notice when practical.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NBFS is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or results from using a listed app.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NBFS and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from the service, third-party apps, external links, user contributions, or reliance on listing information. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
